I saw your picture of your beautiful S&W Model 1917. I have a very clear picture of my cousin from 1944 in Germany in which he is admiring his revolver. I thought perhaps it is a Model 1917, but there are significant differences in its appreance and those on the S&W site showing their new Classic. However it does look more like your pistol.

I was wondering if I could email the picture and get your opinion. I'm not sure how to do this on this web site.
